Meghan McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain, shared a picture of the two during a hike they took on Saturday.

The office for McCain, 80, announced earlier this week he had been diagnosed with glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer.
The Arizona Republican recently underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot above his left eye. Tissue extracted during the operation was found to be cancerous.
He is being treated at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and may undergo chemotherapy as part of his treatment. It is not clear when he will return to work.
