Washington doesn’t have a lot of beautiful people, so when they do come to town, there shall we be.

On Monday, that was at the National Press Club, where former supermodels Kim Alexis and Beverly Johnson (oh, and TV Land President Larry Jones, too …) discussed the issue of “shattering baby-boomer stereotypes.” Both Alexis and Johnson are part of TV Land’s reality show “She’s Got the Look.”

And — amazingly — they thought Washington wasn’t nearly as ugly as we’ve been led to believe.

“I think it’s a sexy city,” Johnson told Yeas & Nays. “There is a sensual energy when you think about the power here.” Somehow, we think she’s bluffing.

As for America’s two potential first ladies, Johnson said that Michelle Obama might have “the look” more than Cindy McCain, if only because she has height in her favor. She added: “I actually think that both the Obamas have ‘the look.’ ”

Still, no first lady is above getting a few beauty tips. Alexis told us that McCain and Obama should try to put their hair up as often as possible, and Johnson urged them both to use plenty of hairspray to prevent a frizzy hair fiasco.
