It was a slow Tuesday morning at the Four Seasons, with barely one-third of the tables occupied. Not surprising, given that the president was heading to the Middle East and the political establishment had temporarily relocated to New Hampshire, if not Nevada or points south.
Nevertheless, we spotted Jim Johnson, longtime Democratic power broker and Barack Obama fan, looking understandably giddy as he scarfed up his bacon and eggs. At a nearby table was Joe Stettinius, a managing director at Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers.
Political savant Norman Ornstein of the American Enterprise Institute also graced the room, as did Atlantic Media chief David Bradley at his usual table and Republican lobbyist Ed Rogers of Barbour, Griffith & Rogers.
