It wasn’t a busy morning at the Bank of Georgetown when a man with a duffle bag walked in, said he was armed and demanded cash.

The one teller working the counter Feb. 2 at the bank on the 1300 block of I Street NW handed the robber an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The robber ran out of the bank.
Every step of the robbery was caught on surveillance cameras. The images show a second bank employee sitting at a desk near the door. She was pushed back from her computer, hands in front of her, as the robber demanded cash from the teller. The photos then show the robber leaving, a black duffel bag at his side.
Police described the robber as a black man with a medium to dark complexion. He had a mustache and goatee and was in his early 30s. Police said the man is between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 2 inches. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black or dark colored cap with a light colored logo on the front. He had a three-quarter-length black hooded coat with a logo on the chest and the right sleeve. His pants were dark.
The case is being investigated by the D.C. police’s robbery task force and the FBI’s bank squad.

District police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the robber.
