Star power at the inauguration is no concern of the man who went from getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to becoming the 45th president of the United States.

In stark contrast to the celebrity parade that was Hillary Clinton’s campaign — which featured performances by the likes of Katy Perry, Beyonce and Jay Z — Trump’s own run was noticeably lacking in star power. Despite boasting many relationships with famous people throughout his career as a billionaire businessman and star of “The Apprentice” television series, Trump has often run afoul of the Hollywood left since entering politics. The celebrities who appeared at the Republican convention were largely past their prime, like actor Scott Baio.
Instead the populist candidate-turned-president had focused his campaign and his incoming administration on “draining the swamp” of Washington, D.C., and getting rid of special interests.
The Trump team have reportedly struggled in selecting a performer for the Inauguration Day festivities on Jan. 20 after Elton John rejected claims that he would be performing and Motley Crue’s Vince Neil said he was “uninvited.”
The Beach Boys confirmed that they have been invited to perform, but have yet to make a decision. It was also recently announced that “America’s Got Talent” runner-up Jackie Evancho would be singing the national anthem at the Jan. 20 ceremony.
It was also reported late Thursday that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will perform at Trump’s inauguration.
