Billionaire businessman Donald Trump threw Americans a curve ball Wednesday night when he admitted he was spending the night at a Holiday Inn Express while on the campaign trail in Indiana.
“I am in Indiana where we just had a great rally. Fantastic people! Staying at a Holiday Inn Express – new and clean, not bad!” Trump tweeted late Wednesday.

Trump owns a number of luxury hotels around the world, but none in Indianapolis, where he rallied thousands of supporters earlier in the day and interviewed with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren.
Trump also admittedly tried to buy the Holiday Inn chain more than three decades ago, according to his biography The Art of the Deal.
The GOP front-runner will remain in Indiana for a portion of the next five days in the lead-up to Indiana’s May 3rd primary, where 57 delegates are at stake. On Thursday, Trump will attend a rally in Evansville, Ind. before heading west for an event in California later in the day.
