This robot is way better at beer pong than you

Thank goodness this robot wasn’t your opponent at a frat party!

Boston-based robot company Empire Robotics has created a robot, called Versaball, that can shoot a perfect game of beer pong, the Huffington Post reported.

“To pick up an object, the robot sucks air out of a ball-shaped ‘membrane,’ making a vacuum that conforms around an object. Then, Versaball can release the object by re-inflating the ball. The robot’s creators found that when air is rapidly released into the ball, the object can go flying. Hence, beer pong,” HuffPo wrote.

Apparently, the robot was primarily designed to do task like changing light bulbs, tightening jar lids and handling sharp objects. They hope it will be used in packaging and manufacturing, but no one really cares about that.

We just want to see it throw ping pong balls into red Solo cups.
