Manchester Elementary School in Carroll County will sponsor its annual School Walk for Diabetes on Thursday with the theme Champions “Putting the Crunch” onDiabetes!
The American Diabetes Association has named Manchester Elementary the top fundraising school in the nation for two consecutive years.
Students, staff members and families have raised more than $131,000 in the past three years for juvenile diabetes. Last year, the school raised $52,830 more than the 2,100 participating schools.
According to the American Diabetes Association, one in every 400 to 600 children has type 1 diabetes.
The rain date is Friday.
