Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid claimed Thursday that Donald Trump would not be able to obtain a gaming license in Nevada because of his actions over the past two decades.
Reid, D-Nev., said in a Thursday conference call with reporters that Trump “raped and pillaged Atlantic City,” where the business mogul once owned casinos that eventually closed.
Reid added, “Who knows what his tax returns would show?”
The Nevada Gaming Commission awarded Trump a license in 2004 when he was part owner of a casino resort. There is no evidence he was ever denied a license, but Reid claimed he would be denied if he applied now.
“He could not get a permanent gaming license in Nevada,” Reid said on the call. “His conduct in the last 15, 20 years has been outrageous.”
