A new CNN poll which was just released Sunday morning may have some telling results. For one, while still in the lead, Trump is slipping.
Right after the second GOP presidential debate, which was hosted by the network, a poll was conducted by CNN/ORC asking voters their thoughts on the candidates and the debate.
Just earlier this month, Trump held the clear lead, with 32 percent of Republicans saying they would be most likely to support him. While he still comes in first, his support level has gone down to 24 percent.
There are also telling shifts from two other candidates as well though, Carly Fiorina and Scott Walker.
Fiorina had just 3 percent of support earlier this month, but has since jumped to 15 percent, landing her in second place. She started out at a mere 1 percent back at the end of June and July.
The poll may be something for Fiorina to celebrate, but brings devastating news for Walker.
Once considered a potential front runner, he had 10 percent of support in July, which had him ranking only behind Trump and Bush. Now Walker has less than one percent.
As for who voters considered to be the winner of the debate, regardless of who they support, Fiorina emerged as the clear cut winner. Fiorina enjoyed 52 percent, while her closest rival, Marco Rubio, had 14 percent.
Although he came in third place as the best of the debate, at 11 percent, Trump was also the first choice for who did the worst. Thirty-one percent chose him as the worst, with 22 percent choosing Rand Paul.
As for viewership, 32 percent did not even watch or listen to either the CNN or Fox debates. They did answer though that “I paid close attention to news stories about them afterwards.”
Twenty-three percent watched or listened to all or most of both debates, and the same amount watched or listened to the second debate but not the first.
