Mike Williams
6-foot-7, 342 pounds

Clearly there’s some rust in Williams’ game considering he hasn’t played since 2005. At least that’s what the Redskins had better hope; Williams’ first practice did not go well. We’ll cut him some slack as he regains his skills. But Williams’ footwork looked sluggish in 11-on-11 work. He was beaten by Rob Jackson, reaching out to try and grab the second-year end. Then Renaldo Wynn did the same and Williams again reached out to try and snag his jersey. If Williams wants to win the right tackle job, he’ll have to improve greatly.

Chris Samuels
6-foot-5, 305 pounds

After ending last season on injured reserve, and recently turning 32, the six-time Pro Bowler is motivated to extend his career. So he’s shed about 12 pounds this offseason, down to 305.

The last time he said he weighed that light was his second year in the NFL.

“Most definitely I’m moving quicker,” Samuels said. “I felt I needed a rebirth in my career…. Hopefully this will extend my career another five or six years.”

Jeremy Bridges
6-foot-4, 326 pounds

He struggled in the OTAs and that has carried over to training camp. Bridges is having a hard time at left tackle, getting easily beaten by a handful of players — Rob Jackson, Renaldo Wynn and Chris Wilson — Thursday.

Bridges has not looked sharp at all at left tackle. If he’s going to help the Redskins, he’ll have to move inside or get a chance on the right side.
