A Prince William County high school biology teacher is on leave after she was accused of trying to steal more than $400 worth of clothes, officials said.
Jennifer Leigh Clark was arrested on theft charges Friday evening while she and her boyfriend tried to steal $416 worth of clothing from a Kohl’s store on Foulger Square in Woodbridge, police said.
Clark teaches biology at Osbourn Park High School and has been released on bail pending her court date on Aug. 31.
School officials said they’ll wait until after the 26-year-old’s court appearance before deciding on her future with the school system. She has been a full-time teacher for three years. Her boyfriend, 22-year-old Geovanny Martinez of Woodbridge, also was charged.
