Carson dismisses mainstream media’s ‘crap’ about Trump

Former GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson said Thursday that voters need to focus on substantive issues instead of the “crap” allegations against Donald Trump in the mainstream media.

“There’s an atmosphere that’s being created by the New York Times and others that says, ‘Look if you’re willing to come out and say something, we’ll give you fame, we’ll give you whatever you need.’ What a bunch of crap,” Carson said. “The people have to see through this because again the train is going off the cliff. Our country is going off the cliff financially and in so many other ways.”

The Times published a story late Wednesday night featuring multiple women accusing Trump of sexual assault, while Trump’s team has responded that the Times libeled the GOP nominee.

Trump’s team said it is drafting a lawsuit against the Times, and has demanded a retraction.
