Ashley Judd, actress-turned-activist who for months has publicly weighed a Senate run against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, announced over Twitter late this afternoon that she will not launch her campaign after all.
“After serious and thorough contemplation, I realize that my responsibilities & energy at this time need to be focused on my family,” she tweeted.
