Carly Fiorina gained enough leadership experience as chief executive of Hewlett-Packard to know how to overcome decades of gridlock in Washington, her super PAC claims in a new video.
The female Republican hopeful’s principal outside support group, CARLY for America, had a fairly simple message for Fiorina’s rivals in a web ad released Monday: stop planning and start doing.
The minute-long ad features dozens of soundbites of former and current presidential candidates similarly discussing their “plans” for the country during past primary debates, media appearances and campaign speeches.
“Anybody can write a plan,” Fiorina, who’s sixth in the latest Washington Examiner presidential power rankings, says mid-video. “How often do politicians put out detailed plans? How often do they get enacted? Never. That’s the problem.”
“Plans ≠ Leadership” the ad states emphatically.
“Carly is a leader who has a track record of results and will get things done,” Steve DeMaura, the PACs executive director, said in a statement Monday. “She is the person who will actually help us return to what our Founders intended: a citizen government that works for you.”
Fiorina has fallen rapidly to the middle of the GOP field in recent weeks. She currently stands at sixth place with 3 percent support among Republican voters in the latest RealClearPolitics polling average.
