Prince George’s County police arrested the suspect accused of injuring a 71-year-old woman in a purse-snatching in District Heights.
Capt. Raphael Grant said residents in Suitland provided information that the suspect, 32-year-old Jonah Salih-Khalil Iman, frequented the Silver Hill Corridor area. Police focused on the area and a patrol officer came across Iman walking along Silver Hill Road, about a mile from the attack last week.
He was charged with armed robbery and assault.
Police said Iman grabbed the woman’s purse, which was slung over her arm, causing her to fall over at the Cigarette Discount Store in the 5700 block of Silver Hill Road last week. The woman sustained fractures to her kneecap, a broken finger, and bruised ribs.
