The Redskins will have all but one draft pick ready for the first practice Friday as both Ryan Kerrigan and Jarvis Jenkins both have agreed to deals. Jenkins tweeted Thursday night that “The INK is on PAPER…imma Redskin!”
Kerrigan, the first-round pick, agreed to terms a short time later.
Both players are expected to be on the field for the 8:30 a.m. practice. And both are expected to be immediate contributors to the defense, particularly Kerrigan, likely to start at outside linebacker. Jenkins will play right end, but that’s also the spot that Stephen Bowen, who agreed to a contract Thursday, is expected to play as well. Regardless, Jenkins will be in the end rotation.
All the rookies are expected to be at practice Friday morning.
