Baltimore Lutheran senior pitcherAdam Sauter was slated to sign a letter-of-intent Wednesday (April 12), accepting an athletic scholarship to play Division I college baseball for Long Island University, according to headmaster Randy Gast.
The 6-feet-5, 185-pound left-hander attracted college scouts with a medley of off-speed pitches, including a change up, fastball and curve. He is expected to immediately challenge for a starting position for the Blackbirds, who are members of the Northeast Conference.
