Kathy Griffin tweets ‘Yes, it’s true’ following report of Secret Service interview

Kathy Griffin tweeted out a brief message on Thursday, “Yes, it’s true,” after a report came out that she was interviewed by Secret Service over the July 4 weekend.

Her tweet contained no context or further description, but a number of outlets, including the Daily Beast, reported that it suggested that the comedienne was acknowledging the interview.

Journalist Yashar Ali tweeted Sunday that Griffin was interviewed face-to-face by Secret Service agents for “over an hour” over the weekend after an investigation was opened more than a month ago into a photograph in which Griffin posed with a fake, decapitated head that portrayed President Trump.

Griffin revealed last month that she was under federal investigation. Ali claims that the investigation is ongoing.

A number of reports on that story, including from the Huffington Post and Entertainment Weekly said Griffin’s representative and legal team did not reply to requests for comment.
