CBS Sports and their production team are doing their best to make the best of the bad weather that has plagued final weekend of the U.S. Open.
The rain will force CBS and ESPN2 to share the weekend coverage. Here is how things will be divided up between the two networks.
Today CBS hope’s to get in the scheduled matches for the day including men’s quarterfinal Rafael Nadal-Fernando Gonzalez; men’s doubles final Lukas Doughy/Leander Peas-Mahesh Bhupath/Mark Knowles; women’s doubles semi-final Cara Black/Liezel Huber-Samantha Stosur/Rennae Stubbs.
The primetime session will feature the women’s semi-finals matches Caroline Wozniacki-Yanina Wickmayer and Serena Williams-Kim Clijsters.
CBS will handle one of the men’s semi-final matches on Sunday after they cover the first weekend of NFL football. Then Monday at 4p.m. the will show the men’s final.
On hand as always for CBS will be the broadcast team of Dick Enberg, Mary Carillo and John McEnroe.
They will be joined by Bill Macatee and analyst Jim Courier also calling some of the action for CBS and Mary Joe Fernandez serves as reporter.
The big news is that ESPN2 will make room for Sunday coverage of the men’s semi final and in primetime the Women’s Final – Here is their schedule:
