Senate votes to confirm Stephanos Bibas to 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals — Before the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance Bibas' nomination last week, Illinois Sen. The Senate voted 53-43 to confirm Stephanos Bibas to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, the second federal appeals court judge nominated by President Trump confirmed on Thursday.

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, who is up for re-election in 2018 in a state Trump won in 2016, was the only Democrat to cross party lines to vote for Bibas’ confirmation.
