PHILADELPHIA — Katie McGinty, the Democratic nominee for Senate in Pennsylvania, backed Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s decision to resign her post at the end of this week’s convention
Asked about Wasserman Schultz’s decision to resign in the wake of the outgoing DNC chair getting booed by Sanders supporters at the Florida delegation’s breakfast on Monday morning, McGinty said that Wasserman Schutlz was taking the “right step” by stepping down. McGinty made the remarks to reporters during a gaggle after the Pennsylvania delegation in Center City.
