The playoffs set up to see the difference, once again, between Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin. Sid the Kid would dismantle Montreal, the way Ovechkin failed to do.
Ah, but he’s not. And now he’s even being knocked by some in the Canadian media. He was referred to as Sid the Skid by one writer (for going goal-less in the first five games of the series). And one Montreal Gazette writer said before the Habs won Game 6 that Crosby has “no goals, three assists and 1,037 complaints to the referee.”

So it’s not just Washington who thinks this way?
And did you see Crosby’s punk move at the end of Game 6? When he gave Tomas Plekanec a crosscheck? If Ovechkin had done that? Hmmm. Regardless, in six games vs. the Canadians, Crosby has one goal and four assists (Ovechkin had five goals with five assists).
Alas, we know what will happen Wednesday in Game 7: Crosby will factor in the game-winner. Isn’t that how it always goes?
