Hillary Clinton might have a presidential challenger: Joe Biden

Joe Biden isn’t ruling out a run for the Oval Office.

The vice president spoke to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America” Wednesday following President Obama’s State of the Union address and admitted that “there’s a chance” he will pursue the Democratic nomination for president.

“Yes, there’s a chance,” Biden said, chucking, when asked about the possibility. “But I haven’t made my mind up about that. We’ve got a lot of work to do between now and then.”

Of course, the vice president would likely face a challenger in former secretary of State Hillary Clinton, but — like the GOP field — he doesn’t appear to be too afraid of her.

“Secretary Clinton is a really competent and capable person and a friend,” Biden explained. “The person who is going to be the next President of the United States is the one who’s going to be able to articulate the clearest vision to the American people where they’re going to take the country.”

The vice president insisted that he has until summer to make up his mind about running for president, adding that he believes the race is currently “wide open on both sides.”

Hillary, on the other hand, is expected to announce her decision sometime between now and the spring.
