Wis. museum to exhibit railroad dining car china

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — The National Railroad Museum plans to host an exhibit featuring vintage dining car china.

The “Jay Christopher Railroad China Collection” features about 600 pieces of fine china created for use in railroad dining cars from the late 19th century through the establishment of Amtrak in 1971.

Jay Christopher, of Hinsdale, Ill., started collecting the pieces in the exhibit during the 1990s.

The exhibit, only shown to the public once before, runs from June 29 through March 3 at the museum in Ashwaubenon.
