OUTLOOK IMPROVES: Confidence among U.S. builders rose to the highest level in five years during July, with many builders now anticipating that sales of new homes will strengthen this year.
STEADY GAINS: The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo builder sentiment index hit 35 this month. That’s up from 29 in May. It has declined only once between January and July.
