Maybe it’s because as a teenager, I lived for two years in Guantanamo Bay. Maybe it’s because a good frield mine is related to Bradley Whitford, who played the same role on stage in A Few Good Men as Tom Cruise did in the movie. But the way this whole thing is unfolding leads me to a line from the famous flick, when Cruise finds a new high note with his voice: “It doesn’t matter what I believe, it only matters what I can prove. So please don’t tell me what I know and don’t know. I know the law.”
Yeah, there are definitely contradictions, summed up nicely here by Dan Steinberg.
Here was the story I filed yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday’s statement from the Wizards: “The charges filed today against Javaris Crittenton and his subsequent plea represent another disappointing development in what has already been a long and frustrating process for the team, the NBA and, most importantly, our fans. Javaris clearly used very bad judgment in this situation and will now face the consequences of his actions.”
Looking forward to hearing from the NBA next.
