Rob Lowe wants Obama to ‘explain the disaster the world has become’

President Obama isn’t even popular in Hollywood anymore.

Actor Rob Lowe suggested his outrage at Obama’s mishandling of issues at home and abroad on Twitter Wednesday while waiting for the president to speak at the U.S. Africa Leaders Summit, as reports NewsBusters.

“Waiting to hear POTUS explain the disaster the world has become. Noticed what looks like an extra security barrier below his podium,” Lowe tweeted Wednesday afternoon.

Undoubtedly, the “Parks and Recreation” star is referring to the multiple crises facing our nation and the world today, including those at the southern border, in Gaza, in Ukraine and in Iraq.

Lowe’s Twitter comment comes just a week after actor David Boreanaz took to the social media site to chastise Obama for his weak actions against Russian President Vladimir Putin. Celebrities, it seems, are growing tired with critizing the president in private and feel the need to shout their disapproval from today’s equivalent of a mountain top, Twitter.

Not that it comes as a huge surprise considering Obama is currently enjoying a terrible approval rating of 42%, but Americans on Twitter appear to, like Rob Lowe, want an explanation from the president. His tweet already has hundreds of retweets and favorites.

As NewsBusters points out, Lowe has taken to setting himself apart from typical liberals in Hollywood as of late. The actor told NBC anchor David Gregory in 2013 that “the individual needs to be more responsible for their own lives and that’s not the conversation we’re having right now, for whatever reason.”

He also told The New York Times earlier this year that he “want[s] the government out of almost everything.”

Lowe has many television and film credits to be proud of, and he is quite famously for, interestingly enough, his role on the political TV show “The West Wing.”
