You can now add Lindsey Graham to the list of people involved in a feud between fellow GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump and Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
Trump criticized Kelly as a debate moderator earlier this month, but renewed his attack on her Monday night.
Graham, currently serving as a Senator from S.C., weighed in on Tuesday, during a visit in the studio of Fox’s Kilmeade & Friends radio show. On Tuesday, Trump had retweeted a follower calling Kelly a “bimbo.” The Hill pointed out that this is the second time Trump has reposted such a tweet with reference to Kelly.
“If you think Megyn Kelly is a bimbo, you’re an idiot,” Graham said about Trump’s actions.
He added,” If I were a young woman, I would be looking and saying, ‘Hey that’s a good role model.'” He also said that Kelly “has the audacity to just make observations which are generally accurate.”
Graham referred to Trump’s actions as “cruel” and “costly” and called on the GOP to come together to call out the frontrunner for such antics.
In addition to Graham, Kelly has the support of her boss, Roger Ailes, who has called on Trump to apologize, as well as several other Fox News hosts.
