Michelle Obama told Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg to “ignore the doubters” after the 16-year-old was mocked by President Trump.
“Don’t let anyone dim your light. Like the girls I’ve met in Vietnam and all over the world, you have so much to offer us all,” the former first lady tweeted Thursday while on a trip to the country with the Obama Foundation and Girls Opportunity Alliance.
“Know that millions of people are cheering you on.”

Thunberg, who has pushed for action in combating climate change, was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year earlier this week.
Trump, 73, said the magazine’s choice was “so ridiculous.”
“Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” Trump tweeted Thursday.
Thunberg updated her Twitter bio to reflect Trump’s comments.
