RNC convention speaker roster revealed

NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, all four of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s children and a professional golfer are scheduled to speak at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland next week, according to documents obtained first by the New York Times.

Noticeably missing from the tentative schedule of convention speakers, which was supposed to be released to the public more than a week ago, are a few avid Trump supporters, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence. The absence of the latter could be a sign the Indiana governor will be announced as Trump’s running mate.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who has lobbied tirelessly to be Trump’s running mate, is billed as appearing separately from the billionaire businessman’s yet-to-be-announced “nominee for vice president” on the third night of the convention.

Each of the four convention nights will highlight a specific election-year theme, including an evening dedicated to the September 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya. There will also be a presentation on former President Bill Clinton’s history of sexual misconduct, according to sources familiar with the details of next week’s convention.

Here is the current lineup, which is subject to change, via the Times:

Night 1: The evening will focus on the Benghazi attacks, and will also feature remarks by border patrol agents.

Speakers will include: Jamiel Shaw Sr., whose son was killed by an illegal immigrant. Sens. Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Joni Ernst of Iowa, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Melania Trump and “others.”

Night 2: The evening will focus on the economy.

Speakers will include: UFC President Dana White, Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former United States Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, “a vice-presidential possibility,” according to the lineup, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

Night 3: The theme has not yet been announced.

Speakers will include: Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, retired NASA astronaut Eileen Collins, Gingrich, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Eric Trump, professional golfer Natalie Gulbis and “the nominee for vice president.”

Night 4: The theme of the convention’s fourth and final night has also not been announced.

Speakers will include: Tebow, Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus, Gov. Rick Scott of Florida, PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel, real estate investor Thomas Barrack, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump.

Several additional guests are slated to speak at the convention, according to a separate document released early Thursday morning by the Republican National Committee. However, there is no word yet on which night these additional guests are expected to appear.

The list of unscheduled speakers features several GOP lawmakers, including House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, and Reps. Ryan Zinke of Montana, Michael McCaul of Texas, Sean Duffy of Wisconsin and Chris Collins of New York. Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge is also expected to speak at an unspecified time.

Sens. Jeff Sessions of Alabama and Shelley Capito of West Virginia, and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee are also expected to deliver remarks at the convention.
