Rudy Giuliani admits he hasn’t spoken to Trump in a ‘couple of weeks’

Rudy Giuliani, who is part of President Trump’s legal team, admitted that he hasn’t talked to Trump in a “couple of weeks” — a confession that comes as Giuliani has been making frequent media appearances discussing Trump and the possibility for an interview between the president and special counsel Robert Mueller.

In an interview with Buzzfeed News, Giuliani said that he hasn’t talked to Trump recently but said that “people from our office are” and that “correspondence” between Trump and his office occurs several times a week.

Giuliani told the Washington Post on Wednesday that be believes Trump should sit down with Mueller, marking a shift from his prior hesitation about it. As recently as Tuesday, Giuliani said he would recommend against Trump doing an interview now.

However, Giuliani denied to BuzzFeed that he was contradicting his past comments.

“No no no no no. No, I didn’t say that,” Giuliani said to BuzzFeed. “That doesn’t mean we’ve reversed though. That’s always been true.”

Mueller is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and if the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.
