When some Denver thieves checked their loot after raiding a truck transporting medical research supplies, they may have lost their heads.
A box of human heads was stolen from a truck in Denver on Thursday. The heads were being transported for scientific research by a company called Science Care, which provides cadavers. The truck was reportedly broken into at around 11 a.m. in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood.

The body parts were intended for medical research, police told Denver’s KDVR.
The box was made of blue and white cardboard with the Science Care company name on the sides, and it measured 20-by-15-by-18 inches, the outlet reported.
The neighborhood where the theft occurred has a family atmosphere, and bystanders expressed shock at the crime.
“Pretty shocking. I guess I don’t see too many strange things happening around here usually, but you know you never know,” Isaac Fields said. “Wow! I would have been so terrified.”
