Voter enthusiasm for President Trump jumped after the Republican National Convention, according to a new survey that found the intensity for Democrat Joe Biden flat-lined after his virtual confab.
The latest Rasmussen Reports survey said that Trump voter enthusiasm surged to 85% after the convention last week, up from 75%.
But for Biden, it has remained stuck at 71%.
The analysis said it this way: “Eighty-five percent (85%) of Republicans are now excited about the choice between Trump and Biden, up from 75% in mid-July. This compares to 71% of Democrats, unchanged from six weeks ago, and 54% of unaffiliated voters.”
Overall, voters are growing more eager for the election as it nears. “Among all likely voters, 70% are excited about the Trump-Biden contest, while only 23% now say they will simply be voting for the lesser of two evils. The number excited about the contest is up from 60% in late April and 67% in July,” added Rasmussen.
The survey also noted that the president’s record, and not Biden’s plan, is the key feature of the election, a typical characteristic of a reelection campaign.
The analysis raised a warning flag for Biden, revealing that black voters are “noticeably less excited” about voting than whites.
Secrets reported yesterday that Biden’s black support is far short of where it nears to be, and also that black enthusiasm for Biden needs to be juiced for him to win.
