RNC chairwoman says she's 'not concerned about any' 2020 Democrats posing threat to Trump reelection

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel dismissed the notion that any of the 2020 Democrats pose a threat to President Trump’s chances of reelection.

“I am not concerned about any of them. Nobody has become the presumptive front-runner,” she told CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday.

She singled out former Vice President Joe Biden, 77, and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, 78, downplaying them as potential threats to Trump.

Trump, 73, has focused more on attacking Sanders in recent weeks as his support increases in polls. Before that, the president reportedly saw Biden as his biggest threat.

McDaniel said internal Republican National Committee polling shows Trump “in very good shape” in all of the battleground states.
