The Idaho state representative is backpedalling on the statement he made during his primary campaign taking aim at Republican leadership in Washington as he now tries to attract national support. In March, while still running against National Republican Congressional Committee-backed Vaughn Ward, Labrador said Republican leaders in Washington were responsible for the rise of the Democratic congressional majority, mentioning Minority Leader John Boehner by name. Labrador, who faces incumbent Rep. Walt Minnick, now tells Politico he was expressing a more general frustration.
