A Silver Spring man was sentenced to five years in prison for ordering child pornography from an Internet website, the U.S. Attorney for Maryland announced Monday.
Jonathan Angier, 51, was arrested in 2009 after inspectors for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service identified a commercial child pornograpahy website, and found that the Silver Spring man in 2006 had ordered 22 videos depicting children in sexually explicit conduct.
Angier responded to undercover e-mails that he thought were from the website, acknowledging that he was a former customer and requesting a catalog of new videos. He ordered 11 videos, including of child porn.
Postal inspectors executed a search warrant and recovered 2,800 images and 175 videos of child porn.
