WASHINGTON (AP) — Fire officials in Washington are acknowledging a mistake led a 90-year-old woman to wait more than 30 minutes to be taken to the hospital.
The woman collapsed Tuesday at her southeast Washington home. She became unconscious during the wait for the ambulance and was then transported to a hospital by a fire truck, not an ambulance.
