Former Secretary of State and potential 2020 presidential candidate John Kerry admitted Friday he does not consider himself attractive.
Author Molly Jong-Fast wrote on Twitter she thought Kerry, now 74 years old, was a “hot” version of 19th-century president Abraham Lincoln. Kerry, stealing a famous line from Lincoln, said it’s been a long time since he thought he was “hot” stuff.
“Thanks, Molly – but Teresa assures me it’s been four score and seven years since anyone used the word ‘hot’ to describe this mug,” Kerry said, referring to his wife, Teresa.

The term “four score and seven years ago” was used by Lincoln during his famous Gettysburg Address during the Civil War. A score is equivalent to 20 years, making Lincoln’s comment a reference to 87 years before 1863, when the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.
Kerry is a Democrat and served as a U.S. senator from Massachusetts before former President Barack Obama tapped him as Secretary of State in 2013.
