Harold Bornstein: Trump dictated letter saying he’d be the healthiest president in history

Harold Bornstein, President Trump’s longtime physician, said Tuesday that Trump dictated a letter released during the 2016 presidential election giving the then-candidate a glowing bill of health.

“He dictated that whole letter. I didn’t write that letter. I just made it up as I went along,” Bornstein told CNN.

“(Trump) dictated the letter and I would tell him what he couldn’t put in there. They came to pick up their letter at 4 o’clock or something,” he said.

The December 2015 note described Trump’s “physical strength and stamina” as “extraordinary,” and that he had “excellent” blood pressure and cardiovascular health.

“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” it continued.

The admission follows Bornstein’s claim Tuesday that Trump’s longtime bodyguard and a Trump Organization lawyer took part in a “raid” of his office on Feb. 3, 2017, and confiscated medical records pertaining to the president.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders responded Tuesday, saying it was “standard operating procedure” for the White House medical unit to take possession of the president’s medical records once he takes office.
