President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation during an hourlong phone call Friday.

Trump and Putin spoke “very, very briefly” about Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters.

“It was discussed, essentially in the context that it’s over, and there was no collusion, which I’m pretty sure both leaders were very well aware of long before this call took place,” she said.

Sanders said the two leaders also discussed a range of other issues, including nuclear agreements, trade, North Korea, Ukraine, and Venezuela.

Mueller’s report detailed Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election to help Trump win. Mueller did not find sufficient evidence to charge anyone on the Trump campaign with conspiracy, and he did not offer a conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice during the investigation.

Trump described the call as “very productive.”

“As I have always said, long before the Witch Hunt started, getting along with Russia, China, and everyone is a good thing, not a bad thing,” he tweeted.
