Cast of ‘West Wing’ to campaign for Clinton

Cast members from “The West Wing” will campaign for Hillary Clinton in Ohio this weekend.

“Toby, C.J., Josh, Charlie, Will and Kate (a.k.a., actors Richard Schiff, Allison Janney, Bradley Whitford, Dule Hill, Joshua Malina and Mary McCormack) will participate in grassroots organizing events across Ohio with stops in the Mahoning Valley, Cleveland, Sandusky and Toledo areas on Saturday and in the Dayton and Columbus areas on Sunday,” the Clinton campaign announced in a statement Wednesday.

“The actors will discuss why they are supporting Clinton and urge Ohioans to register to vote ahead of the October 11 deadline and to get involved in organizing their communities ahead of November’s election,” the statement added. “The campaign swing will culminate in a Columbus Ward 21 rally on Sunday. Additional details about these events will be released soon.”

Notably absent from the announced lineup of “West Wing” cast members for the reunion this weekend are actors Rob Lowe and Martin Sheen.

Sheen played President Josiah Bartlet, who kept his relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis a secret from voters until after he had already taken the oath of office.
