Sean Hannity shuts down Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti after he requested one-hour interview

The lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels says he’s willing to do a full-hour interview with Sean Hannity, but the Fox News host says he has more important things to do.

According to Michael Avenatti, the two met at a recent party and he said in a tweet Tuesday that he found Hannity to be “very affable despite our divergent views.” He also said they “discussed” having him come on Hannity’s evening show to discuss the legal fight being waged by his client.

“Michael the world has had stormy stormy 24-7 on every low rated show. It’s old news,” Hannity replied.

Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, alleges she had a an extramarital affair with President Trump more than a decade ago. Clifford and Avenatti are now waging a legal battle against Trump and his lawyer, Michael Cohen, to free her from a nondisclosure agreement that bars her from talking about the alleged affair. They also sued Cohen for defamation.

Hannity said that he’d rather talk about issues such as Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuse, and he alluded to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s unauthorized private email server.

“Oh and only @realDonaldTrump or top newsmakers Get a full hour. Best Sean,” he added in a second tweet.

Avenatti replied: “Thought so. There goes Fox claiming I’m not willing to come on the network. Maybe Michael Cohen will get on the show? Probably should book that one very quickly because no FISA warrant needed there. Take care Sean.”

Previously Avenatti, who has become a fixture on rival news networks CNN and MSNBC, abruptly canceled an appearance on Fox New host Martha MacCallum’s show this week. She called him out on her show, saying he claimed over the weekend on CNN that Fox News doesn’t want to book him. Avenatti shot back, calling her “classless,” explaining he had to cancel due to a “commitment.” He then reached out to Hannity on Twitter, asking him to allow an appearance on his show.
