Trump and Comey escape to New Jersey after former FBI director’s testimony

President Trump and former FBI Director James Comey capped off a controversial week by heading to New Jersey.

The pair did not travel together.

Trump is spending the weekend at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. It’s his second visit to his New Jersey golf club since becoming president.

Comey reportedly returned to his hometown of Allendale to visit his father.

Allendale is about an hour’s drive from Trump’s golf club.

Comey testified Thursday to Congress about his private conversations with Trump amid an investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election.

Trump lashed out at Comey via Twitter on Friday morning, saying he had been vindicated.

“Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication…and WOW, Come is a leaker!”
