Arlington drivers say they’re worried the county has installed more red light ticketing cameras than the four the police department recently announced.
“I have personally seen cameras in multiple different locations,” said Arlington resident Tim Bradley in one of several e-mails sent to the The Washington Examiner by concerned drivers.
Arlington police said there are indeed a number of “traffic flow” cameras around the county, but they are not used to ticket roadway rule-breakers.
“The cameras show us if intersections are backed up, or if the traffic lights are out. But that’s all,” said Arlington Police spokeswoman Crystal Nosal.
