Laurel burglar gets stuck in vent for eight hours

Published

A night prowler trying to break into a Laurel restaurant became stuck in the ventilation duct for eight hours and needed to be rescued by emergency crews.

The man was discovered around 9:30 a.m. Thursday by a worker opening up the Jerry’s Subs and Pizza, at 9711 Fort Meade Road. The worker walked into the kitchen and noticed a person’s feet dangling from the stove ventilation hood and called police, said  Prince George’s County fire spokesman Mark Brady.
