Teens accused of racial beating

Two teenagers were charged as adults in what Baltimore police say was a racially motivated beating of an elderly black fisherman. Zachary Watson, 17, and Emmanual Miller, 16, told police they were with Calvin E. Lockner when he attacked 76-year-old James A. Privott, but they claimed not to have participated. All three were charged with attempted murder, armed carjacking and a dozen other crimes. Lockner, a 28-year-old white supremacist who goes by the nickname Hitler, said Watson beat up Privott. Police said Privott was punched, kicked and struck with a baseball bat.

Bees attack again at Rock Creek

Seven children and one adult suffered multiple bee stings during an attack at the horse stables at Rock Creek Park. Fire officials said the U.S. Park Police were removing the bees from an area near 5000 Glover Road NW. There were two similar bee attacks at the park last week.

Maryland man killed by house trailer

An Oakland, Md., man was crushed to death by a house trailer he was trying to move. The Garrett County Sheriff’s Office said that 61-year-old Ervin Sliger had crawled beneath the trailer while trying to support the unit Tuesday afternoon. The trailer shifted and trapped Sliger beneath it.

Doctor’s assistant accused of assaulting patients

A physician’s assistant has been arrested on allegations he inappropriately touched patients, Fairfax County police said. Jorge Sanchez, 49, of Hagerstown, was charged with two counts of sexual battery. In the last two months, two female victims, 27 and 29, said they were sexually assaulted at the Chantilly Specialists office on 14121 Parke Long Court.
