President Trump’s sons are dismissing the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and said the probe is a “hoax.”
“It’s the greatest hoax of all time,” Eric Trump said during an interview with ABC. “I was there throughout the campaign. We have no dealings in Russia. We have no projects in Russia. We have nothing to do with Russia.”
“To me it’s without a question,” Donald Trump Jr. said. “It reads and smells like a witch hunt.”

Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.’s criticisms of the FBI’s investigation echo President Trump’s feelings on the probe.
Trump slammed the investigation as a “witch hunt” last month and said Russian officials must be “laughing at the U.S. & how a lame excuse for why the Dems lost the election has” dominated the news.
The FBI, as well as the Senate and House Intelligence Committees, are investigating the role Russia played in the election and potential ties between Trump campaign associates and Russian officials.
Former FBI Director James Comey was leading the probe before Trump fired him last month. The Justice Department subsequently appointed a special counsel, former FBI Director Robert Mueller, to oversee the investigation.
Comey will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday and is expected to discuss conversations he had with Trump, including one during which Trump reportedly pressured Comey to end the FBI’s Russia probe.
