After five years of marriage, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing, according to People Magazine. The couple, who wed in Novermber 2006 in an Italian castle, have a 6 year-old-daugher, Suri. While the magazine has no comment from Cruise, Holmes’s attorney told them that “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
TMZ is reporting that Holmes is the one who filed for divorce and is asking for full custody of Suri. Cruise is apparently “blindsided” by the filing. She is also asking for child support. She did sign a prenup prior to the wedding, with reports back in 2006 saying she would get $3 million for each year of marriage.
