A new effort to save Dimensions Health care in Prince George’s County began on Thursday, one that officials say won’t become another failed plan or broken promise to fix the struggling health care system. Gov. Martin O’Malley, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker and other top officials announced a new partnership with the University of Maryland Medical System.
The memorandum of understanding signed by officials begins a three-step process to reinvigorate Dimensions with construction of a new regional medical center and better coordination among the system’s current hospitals, including Prince George’s and Laurel hospitals.
